Our Class of 1970 Reunion teed off in style on Friday morning with a "top-flight" Golf Challenge. The turnout was fantastic, and not even the scorching temperatures could cool the enthusiasm of our classmates. Determined and full of the Ichiban spirit, the golfers hit the greens ready for a day of competitive play, camaradarie and the chance to claim one of the several coveted trophies.

Fom the very first swing to the final putt, the energy was high-fun and laughter echoed from hole to hole and the joy of friendly rivalry was everywhere. More than just a game, it was a celebration of our shared history, our enduring friendships, and our determination to make this reunion one for the history books.

This spirited event set the perfect tone for the weekend ahead, proving that after 55 years, our class still knows how to show up and show out.

What a Friday nite we had !! Our Class of '70 turned the bowling alley into a celebration like no other. Trophies were awarded to winners the following nite. We laughed, hugged, shed a few happy tears, snapped endless photos and bowled our hearts out! The energy was electric, the joy was contagious and the memories that we created will last forever. Truly, the best bowling nite ever!!

Saturday evening was nothing short of magical! For many of us, it was our first time reuniting after 55 unforgettable years since our graduation from William M. Raines Senior High School in 1970-and what a celebration it was!!

The night began with our traditional meet and greet, setting the tone with warm hugs, joyful reunions, and shared memories. Soon after, we paused for a heartfelt and solemn tribute to honor the classmates we have lost-an emotional moment that reminded us of the bond we still share.

From there, the energy started to soar. Our featured saxophonist filled the room with his enchanting, soul stirring melodies, captivating every ear in the house. The laughter never stopped, thanks to our comedic MC, who had us rolling with his Hollywood level humor, quick quips, and unforgettable antics.

Throughout the night, excitement built with free raffle ticket drawings, trivia challenge prizes and a big bingo winner-culminating in the grand prize giveaway: a 58 inch color TV. Then came a special treat, as our very own Walter Holmes reminded us why he remains a master on the clarinet, serenading the crowd with an extraordinary performance.

The feast? Simply amazing. Our catering specialist delivered a meal worthy of every compliment that poured their way. And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, our DJ kept the the dance floor alive with tunes that had us moving, grooving, and reliving our youth.

The evening was wrapped in pure class-the ambience, the entertainment, the fellowship, all leading up to the powerful closing moment when we stood together and sang our cherished school song.

Truly, it was an evening of laughter, music, memories, and "Ichiban" pride and an outpouring of love that none of us will ever forget!

3 EPIC DAYS !!

Sunday was a bittersweet farewell, as we came together one last time to share in a moment of spiritual reflection. The atmosphere was tender, yet uplifting, reminding us of the reality of our individual and collective journeys, and how truly blessed we were to experience this reunion together.

In that sacred space, we were reminded that time is fleeting, but the bonds we forged over fifty-five years ago still endure with remarkable strength. The prayers, songs, and words carried a sense of gratitude that touched every heart.

As we embraced one another, it was clear that this was more than a closing-it was a renewal of our shared legacy as classmates, friends, and family. We left with spirits lifted, hearts full, and a deep resolve to cherish each other even more in the days ahead. And though the weekend concluded, the memories we created together will continue to inspire us until we meet again.

Our Sunday Dinner was a befitting cap to a glorious weekend of class reunion celebration. This great physical nourishment moment was a splendid compliment to the heavenly mental, emotional and spiritual nourishment that we all received during these past 3 days.
